I am Director of Digital and Sustainable Excellence at Borzen, Slovenia’s electricity-market operator, and a PhD researcher in deep learning at the University of Maribor. Before that I led application development and IT at Banka Intesa Sanpaolo, and research and development at Semantika.

I work where engineering, technology leadership, and research meet. The day-to-day is digital strategy, resilience, and governance; the longer arc is turning applied AI and high-dimensional data analysis into systems people can rely on.

Based in Maribor, Slovenia, I pair that operational work with a deep-learning PhD at the University of Maribor, peer-reviewed publications in AI and digital health, and Microsoft Certified Trainer work in AI and Azure.
